Normandy 1944 Then & Now Remembrance

We had a tough week getting some new technology to work and getting our fantastic volunteers up to speed on how to use the new technology. Lots of hours and effort, but as I reflect on 9/11, and other bigger things today, our issues seem so trite.
I stumbled (literally, Stumble!) across this page, Normandy 1944, Then & Now http://bit.ly/19Mx6n . Amazing, such destruction, and now it looks like it was never damaged. It really helped put the week into perspective.
The courage of those who have served our country astounds me. So many Americans have given their lives willingly to protect and defend our great nation and other nations who could not defend themselves. America is one of the greatest militarily powered nations in history and yet we have not used that power to overtake countries and rule their lands. We have used that power to save those who can not save themselves again and again.
Thank you again to all of those who willingly, and unwillingly, gave their lives for our great nation. I commit to do my part to make sure America remains the land of the free and the brave.
I will not forget their sacrifice
I will not forget 9/11
