The Saga of Finding a Streaming Platform for Church Online

About 3 years ago AliveChurch.com was looking at how to set up a Church Online campus. I was given the task of developing and launching our online campus. I researched and asked everyone I could find about what to do and what not to do. I initially looked for an existing online platform that we could just plug in and go. At that time could not find anything that would fit what we wanted and there was very little to choose from. Our criteria was an online platform that had as many pieces of the live experience as possible. We felt church online should have, friendly greeters, online chat, private prayer with a pastor and the ability to invite and engage with friends.
We began with an embeded player on a page as many other have done. It was a start but very limited in interaction. I began talking to Steve from StreamingChurch.tv. We talked about what we were thinking a campus should be and Steve said, "I think I can build that." Several stages and changes later we are pretty happy with the platform that Steve @ StreamingChurch.tv built for us.
Here is the platform as we are using it today. AliveChurchStreaming
Steve has made this platform available to all his clients with a free 30 day trial. Thanks again Steve for helping us connect with people online.
